  Being a bit of a newbie with motorbikes i bought and XR 125 from Bury Motorcycle Centre, with 11000 miles, no service history, 4 owners on a 06 reg plate. Throttle cable has had to be replaced as i nearly killed myself getting it home *managed to do this myself*. On closer inspection there are plenty of parts missing from what was their origionally, ie the back tail rack, the chain guard, and the chain is 50MM slack, the manual says 20 to 30mm.... i sorted the slack out and now the chain is in the *need replacing* mark. When leaving the dealer i drove it about 2 miles down the road, it stalled... i gave him a rang to come sort it turns out the air flow tube thing was leaking and wasnt screwed on right *he found this out by the road side, so not sure about how good his service was on it:/* seeing as he did claim to service it before putting it up for sale... the drain pipe was rammed fulll as if it hadnt been emptied for a while, however the oil / plugs do look new. In the dark shop the bike looked fantastic, but once it was paid for and taken outside the paint work look alot worse i instantly felt pretty bad about it but being me i am not the type of person to complain :/ just bought the bike only a week ago now. He charged me £1600 which i later found out these bikes at this age with less mileage *and all the parts* are selling for more like £1000 * in very good condition. have seen dealers selling 07 plates for £1200*. Overall not really a great purchase cant help feel ive had my hand bitten right off. Cheers and happy future riding
