  Same story as everyone else - paid for an engine on 12/03/10 - promised it would be delivered by the following Wednesday - never arrived and cannot contact them. Having read the stories it is obvious they are just crooks.

  I wish I had read this first!!! Just paid £700 for an engine with the promise of delivery on a Saturday afternoon. Needless to say F**k all was delivered and took an age to get through to them again. When they finally answered I was told that Nationwide Salvage went bust on Friday (I paid them money on Thursday).

• Health Warning

  They are like a virus. I purchased an Engine for a Volvo from them on the 2nd March. Delivery promised for 5th. I was having it fitted by a garage who had set aside the time to fit it and did not book other work. Never got delivered. Chased phoned 40 times before I put on dispute with mt Credit Card provider and another 17 after. The only line they answer is sales. Just keep putting you back on hold. I saved the number to my Mobile when they contacted me which was lucky. When you try to track them from the website they list an 0907 number and this costs £1.50 a minute. The crowning glory is that they even phoned me again on the 16th to offer to sell me a new one. They may still have had one as they did not supply the original although they did supply me with a phone number for the delivery driver. When I contacted that number, it was not a delivery driver and he new nothing about it. That was a surprise. If I suffered from stress this would not have been a recommendable experience. I have also reported them to Trading Standards.

• NATIONWIDE SALVAGE ARE FRAUDSTERS

  I PURCHASED AN ENGINE FROM NATIONWIDE SALVAGE ON 2/3/10. MONEY WAS TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT ON 3/3/10. WAS PROMISED ENGINE WOULD BE DELIVERED WITHIN 3 DAYS, I STILL DONT HAVE MY ENGINE BUT MY BANK ACCOUNT IS £600 SHORT. I HAVE CONTACTED THE POLICE AND TRADING STANDARDS AS I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO SPEAK TO ANYBODY FROM THIS COMPANY. ITS LIKE THEY HAVE VANISHED INTO THIN AIR ,THE PHONE IS CONSTANTLY ENGAGED. I WILL BE TAKING THIS MATTER FURTHER UNTIL I GET MY HARD EARNED MONEY BACK. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THIEVES.

  I see that many people been having problems with Nationwide Salvage. I ordered a Ford Mondeo engine from them on 1st March, was promised delivery in 3-4 days. It never arrived. I have since been chasing. Very difficult to get through to them. When I have spoken to someone, they have fobbed me off telling me that that engine will definitely arrive in X days. On 10th March I was even told that if I didn't receive engine by 12th March that I would receive a full refund plus £150 compensation. Still no engine and haven't been able to get through since - constantly engaged (it did ring once but rang for about about 5 mins before I gave up). I'd be interested to hear others' experiences.

  A week ago i ordered a ford mondeo engine the same old story . they took payment and no engine .i could not get in touch with them so i thought i would place the order again and i couldnt belive it they contacted me trying to sell me the engine again when they relised they had dealt with me before they just hung up. I still have no engine and no money the bank have gauranteed my money but i hope they get whats DEFINITLY COMING TO THEM through the proper channels of coarse anybody needing any information from me on this matter please feel free to contact me together we will stop this from happening to over people

• took my money but no engine

  nationwide salvage BL1 payed over £500.00 for an a engine no delivery 10 days later involved the police & trading standards now as every time i phone they reconise my voice and hang up they even say now that nationwide salvage doesn,t exist anymore now and they are nationwide scrap PLEASE BE WARNED DONT USE THIS COMPANY

• Don't touch them!

  As of 3/2/2010 this company is in the process of being struck off by Companies House. They took more than the agreed price from my bank account, failed to deliver the engine purchased (found it didn't actually exist), and hung up on me 14 times when I've phoned to find out what is happening. Appalling.
